Moremi Game Reserve is one of the most diverse wildlife reserves, even for the most seasoned Africa-travellers. Savuti is a big game area, known for exceptional predator sightings and engagements. This is the kind of place wildlife addicts keep returning to, as transformation is always around the corner. Day 1

Kaziikini Camp

You will meet your Tour Leader & Crew in the village of Maun, here you will be introduced to your Botswana Guide, who will lead the tour into the National Parks. Maun is known as the “gateway to the Okavango” and has over the years gained the reputation of “Donkey town with a difference”, this is our last stock-up before heading into the wilderness, make sure you have what you need!.  After a quick introduction, we will make our way to Kaziikini camp, just north of Maun. This campsite offers us the perfect entry into he Moremi, where we begin our expedition.

Day 2 & 3

Third Bridge

After coffee & rusks morning tradition, we pack up and head towards the Moremi Game reserve where we will camp for two nights in the Third Bridge area, the heart of the Moremi. We enter the park at South Gate and slowly make our way to the site. The Bhejane Crew will have your tents & lunch ready upon arrival, affording you time to settle in. This will be our base for two nights, we will explore the depths of the Delta from here.

Day 4 & 5

Khwai Area

On day 4 we will slowly make our way towards Khwai passing Xakanaxa. The journey to our next destination takes us through authentic Okavango environments and is known as the Khwai River traverse. We exit the park to overnight in the Khwai community area at Mogotlho camp.

We will spend the next two days travelling through untamed wilderness areas and camping wild. Off the beaten track, under the stars in the arms of the wilderness. Except for the rural vehicle tracks, there is nothing else man-made and without light pollution the heavenly night skies and solitude will take your breath away.

Day 6 & 7

Savuti

After Breakfast we head towards Mababe Gate on the Southern side of the Chobe National Park. We travel through the Savuti sand concession and stay at Savuti camp for 2 nights. Known as one of the best game viewing areas, our focus will be on daily drives through the Savuti Marsh area in search of those memorable wildlife sightings.

The now dry Savuti channel is part of the dynamic Savuti eco-system renowned for its large concentration of elephant and lion and their troubled relationship. Savuti means mystery, expect the unexpected. Savuti’s changeability has resulted in fascinating animal behaviour: imagine lions that prey on sub-adult elephant and leopards that catch fish in the drying mud of the channel.

Day 8

Chobe National Park

Known as the Elephant Capital of Africa, Chobe National Park is the home of the gentle giants.  Of course, they’re not alone. Quintessential African game species such as buffalo, zebra and wildebeest swirl around the 11,700km2 park, trailed by the big cats: lion, leopard and cheetah. Spotted hyena is common, wild dog less so, while hippo, crocs and water-loving antelope like the red lechwe also call the park home. The skies are alive with some 450 bird species.

We Will be staying in Chobe National Park for our last night. This includes an afternoon and morning Game Drive in the park. Breakfast will be served on the banks of the Chobe river.

Day 9

Home

After a lavish breakfast, we will bid our travelling companions farewell.
