The Experience

Discover Jozi - a melting pot of pan African and ethnic European & Asian flavours, exciting as all can be found in the city and surrounds instead of traveling vast distances. To keep it real we will cook on Wicked Food Earth, a farm concerned with indigenous breeds and sustainable foods.

Join chef Suzi Holtzhausen and skilled Bhejane Adventure cooks, as we gather together and re-invent open fire cooking, using ingredients real to each area! It’s not just another braai…

Interact and participate in our 4-day food adventure, exploring the culinary heritage of Southern Africa in bush surroundings. Exercise pure cooking skills then relax at the end of the day to a delicious meal in the open air before calling it a night in your comfy, well-appointed tent.

Our celebrity chef

Suzi has a background in food and a foreground in provenance. She studied in Cape Town, thereafter quickly headed for a working life at exclusive game lodges in wildlife areas of Southern Africa.

Wanting to share her food knowledge further, she became involved in setting up new lodges and training local staff which later materialised in a cookery school in Johannesburg. Coastal seafood then called loudly in the form of the Cape West Coast and after selling her restaurant, Gaaitjie in Paternoster, she took to the road as a traveling chef.

Sourcing, foraging, ingredient networking and food harvesting has become a new way of life!

Play a part in the future of our National cuisine. A flavour trip guaranteed!
