Our adventure starts in central Botswana at Kubu Island on the Makgadikgadi Pans and ends at Kasane/Chobe in the north. During the course of our travels, we shall traverse the vast sand flats, which were once the great lakes of Southern Africa, fed by an even greater river. Over millions of years, the forces of nature diverted the course of the rivers, changing the face of the land. As our 4x4 convoy travels westwards from the site of the great lake at the Makgadikgadi Pans around the bottom end of the Okavango Delta, northward along the Okavango River (with a detour to the mysterious Tsodilo Hills, a sacred rock art site) and into Caprivi, the marvels of this geological intrigue will unfold.
Once in the Caprivi, we head east again, crossing the Kwando River and eventually reaching the mighty Zambezi River at the majestic Victoria Falls. The final stop on the tour is the game-rich Chobe River area around the town of Kasane in northern Botswana.
